The scholarship recipient will be announced by February 15, 2020 and will be recognized at the Red, White, and Blue Awards Ceremony on March 11, 2020.

|Putt For P.E.A.C.E Golf Tournament|
Support Tempe Leadership Class XXXV in revitalizing the basketball courts at Escalante Park with public art. Using a professional artist, the class will work side by side with the community to paint murals on the basketball courts.
On February 9, 2020, beginning at 7 am, Tempe Leadership Class XXXV will be hosting a golf tournament at Ken McDonald Golf Course where the proceeds go toward helping the class accomplish and complete their community project P.E.A.C.E. Click here for more information.

|Tempe Community Council Needs Volunteers|
TCC is currently in need of volunteers to serve on TCC's Agency Review process, by the end of January.
Each year, the Tempe City Council and Tempe Community Council (TCC) allocate and administer about $1.2 million in grants to local human services organizations. This funding goes to assist agencies in delivering needed programs and services for children, families, homeless individuals, seniors and more.

The City of Tempe is looking for businesses with big ideas to help bring its new recreation plan for the parks around Tempe Town Lake to life. The Rio Salado Master Plan, which recently was approved by the Tempe City Council, calls for new activities in six specified zones around Tempe Town Lake.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATE WEEK OF January 13, 2020
- Ash Avenue/Rio Salado Parkway intersection: Road widening efforts are ongoing at the Ash Avenue/Rio Salado Parkway intersection. The intersection will be closed from January 20 – February 26 while crews construct the roundabout. Click here for more details.
- Apache Blvd from Gammage Curve to Rural Road: Landscaping and electrical upgrades. Traffic will be maintained in both directions. Expect sidewalk/crosswalk detours.
- Apache Blvd east of Rural Road: Track installation and OCS foundation work continues. Traffic maintained in both directions. Expect turn restrictions and possible sidewalk/crosswalk detours.
- Mill Avenue/Rio Salado Intersection Phase 3 work: Crews will work overnight to install the second leg of track in the intersection from December 26 – January 17. Left turns will be restricted as well as southbound Mill Avenue and eastbound Rio Salado through traffic. Click here for more details.
