|Tempe named a top 5 city in the country for freelancers|
Tempe has just been named one of the top five cities in the country for freelancers, according to a study conducted by neighborhoods.com. A critical factor in ranking Tempe #4, ahead of Scottsdale #5 is fast, reliable internet. The Cox team has been busy upgrading our network so that today we can offer Gig speeds to he neighborhoods that Cox serves throughout the Valley. And for those on the go in Tempe, Cox provides more than 1,500 WiFi hotspots for freelancers and other Cox customers to enjoy and get their work done.
According to the neighborhoods.com study, fast and reliable internet is a necessity for the 56.7 million freelancers who do not work in a traditional office setting. This group contributes $1 trillion to the economy.
Neighborhoods.com ranked 150 cities based on average internet speed, median rent, number of coffee shops per capita, income tax and ease of getting around. Cox is proud to contribute to the success of freelancers and the business community in our Gig economy by making the fastest speeds available in the state more accessible throughout Tempe.
